I just got my third Sephora Play! box this month and I am so excited about this month’s products. Check them out!
March’s Play! by Sephora box’s theme is “The Shine is Now”. “From high-wattage shimmer to a natural gleam, this month mixes it up with advanced formulas that redefine shine”. This box comes with six sample-size products in beautiful shades and heavenly scents, which might be just what the doctor ordered to help get me through this last stretch of winter.
GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow – 0.24 oz ($6.91)
I was so excited to get this deluxe sample in my box this month. Last weekend I picked up a sample of GlamGlow Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer at the mall and have already fallen in love so I was over the moon when I saw a GlamGlow product was coming in this month’s box. This product is a two-in-one moisturizer and luminizer that adds natural, brightening glow to your skin. Plus it smells amazing. Use it under foundation as a priming moisturizer, or wear it alone. It does run at a pretty high price of $49.00 for 1.7oz so I’m not sure I could justify splurging for the full size product, but the sample does have me tempted.
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink – unknown ($8.00?)
This super-creamy, waterproof eyeshadow stick comes in a beautiful warm coppery-pink tone. This eye shadow is amazing and definitely stands up to being waterproof. It blends easily by fingertip or with a brush and lasts all day long. The full size product goes for $30, so I’m going to take a rough guess and say this sample is worth about $8.00. Again, the full size product is a bit steep for my budget, but I’m delighted that I got it as a sample and will definitely use it often.
Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter – 0.08 oz ($7.27)
I’ve actually been on the hunt for a great highlighter so this sample was incredibly timely. This highlighter glides on as a cream and blends out to be more of a powder. It’s has a beautiful sheen. I’m in love. The full size product is $30 but this is definitely a product I would splurge on in the future.
Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast – 3.0 oz ($15.00)
This is my first time using a Living Proof product and my first time using a texturizing spray. If you read my last post, my hair is quite fine and doesn’t really like new products. The first time I used this it made my hair a bit greasy, which is interesting since it claims to double as a style refresher containing an oil-controlling blend of ultra-lightweight powders that absorb dirt and impurities. I’ll be giving this product a couple more tries though, I have high hopes that I was just having a bad hair day. This spray is sold in 3 and 7.5 oz bottles at a price of $15 or $29, respectively.
Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm – 0.1 oz ($7.20)
Use this finishing balm as a first or last step in your makeup routine. I love Marc Anthony’s organ oil of morocco conditioning hair treatment, so I’m really looking forward to trying an argan oil moisturizer in my routine. A little seems to go a long way, but there’s not much in this sample. This formula is hydrating, scent-free and has a subtle shimmer giving your skin a soft-focus luminosity. The full size product costs $36 for 0.5 oz., so I don’t expect to see myself buying a full size product anytime soon.
Chloé Fleur de Parfum – 0.04 oz ($2.46)
Perfume samples are one of my favorite parts of the Play! boxes. This fragrance is an infusion of rose petals, lemon essence, absolute verbena, freesia, cherry blossom, white cedar essence, bitter almond and amber. This soft, feminine fragrance definitely makes me thinking about spring.
I really enjoyed my March Play! by Sephora box and I really look forward to using up the products I’ve received this month. Glow and shimmer is something I’ve been working into my routine slowly and these products couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Overall, this month’s box has a value of approximately $46.84, which is a awesome for a $10 box.
Have you tried the GlamGlow products? Are you as in love as I am?
